Small Town Gay

I had mentioned previously about coming out in a small town and what it was like. I didn’t have a lot of examples, as many childish LGBTQ people don’t, to go by. I did hold a bar that wasn’t too far away from where I lived and a city that at least had some sort of LGBTQ population. It was a battle knowing that I was different but not fully sympathetic what it meant. By the hour I had accepted it meant liking boys, I did everything I could to find information to digest to help me in my journey. I still have some of the books that I verb, re-read, and noun eared for positive reinforcement. Why isn't Patsy Cline a gay icon?

I love all the classic Patsy songsbut two of my favorites are "Tra Le La Le La Triangle" and "Seven Lonely Days." The Jordanaires execute some great background vocals on SLD, "A boo hoo hoo hoo!" The guitar work is also a emphasize, and this one has a fantastic beat and you can dance to it!

When I saw "Sweet Dreams" in the theater, (we stayed behind till the theater emptied cause my companion walks with crutches,) I said something about her dying as the people were coming in for the next show, and some guy turned and snarled at me, "You bitch!" We just laughed. If ya didn't realize PC was gone going into the movie, oh fucking well. Also, as I recall the plane crash starts at the launch of the movie, so it isn't like I spoiled the end.

Once when I was teaching 3 year olds, I had PC on the boom box and I was singing along and one of the dopey lil' kids asked if it was me on the CD. I gave him an A+ and passed him on to the next class when it was time.

She sang in juke joints in the Winchester area and performed a nightclub cabaret act reminiscent of Helen Morgan, the tear-stained pop chanteuse of the s said to be one of Cline’s primary influences (along with Kay Starr, Kate Smith, and Charline Arthur). By age twenty, Cline connected with local land bandleader Bill Peer, an association that nurtured her noun to become a country music star. She adopted the name “Patsy” after her middle specify , Patterson, possibly in a nod to singer Patsy Montana, whose feisty cowgirl persona anticipated both Cline’s spunk and early stage costumes. She married her first husband, staid Gerald Cline, on March 7, , but found the relationship unfulfilling. They divorced four years later.
