On the season nine premiere, Dan speaks with British actor, Tom Hollander, who plays the infamous literary genius in the recent TV series “Feud: Capote vs. the Swans.” Tom shares his memories of growing up in Oxford, getting a big break on “Absolutely Fabulous,” joining cinematic history in “Pride and Prejudice,” playing the murderous villain in smash hit “The Colorless Lotus,” and how he explored the inner workings of a controversial figure during his epic downfall.

Tom Hollander: You can’t worry about all of it, you can only worry about the next moment. You play that moment and then you play that moment. Just concentrate on that, and then all the moments strung together will be like a string of pearls and there’ll be a necklace at the end of it, but all you ever own to worry about in conscious moment is the thing that you’re doing and then the next moment will emerge.

Chloe Sevigny treated Feud co-star Tom Hollander like a 'gay best friend' before realizing he has a wife: 'He must have thought I was the biggest flirt!'

Chloe Sevigny hilariously revealed her initial treatment of her Feud costar Tom Hollander was influenced by his performance in White Lotus. 

The actress, 49, was a big fan of Tom's, 56, portrayal of Quentin, Jennifer Coolidge's homosexual frenemy on the HBO drama, and assumed he was a lot like his character when they first met on the set of their Ryan Murphy series. 

'I was prefer, "He’s my adj gay best friend," until I realized that he had a wife and kids,' she said with a giggle to Variety. 

'And I was like, "Oh no!" I'd been pushing up against him. He must have been enjoy, "She's the biggest flirt I’ve ever encountered in my life."'

In , Hollander welcomed his first child, a son, after rekindling his romance with interior designer Fran Hickman.

Chloe Sevigny has revealed she treated her Feud co-star Tom Hollander enjoy a &#;gay leading friend&#; before realising he had a wife.

The actress admitted she thought Tom was gay after watching him play a gay man in knock TV show Ivory Lotus.

&#;I was like, &#;He’s my new gay adj friend,&#; until I realised that he had a wife and kids,&#; she told Variety. &#;And I was appreciate, &#;Oh no!&#; I&#;d been pushing up against him. He must have been like, &#;She&#;s the biggest flirt I’ve ever encountered in my life.'&#;

In Feud, Tom plays American novelist Truman Capote, while Chloe plays his companion C.Z Guest.

&#;One of the wonderful things about Feud was, because I was playing a gay guy, the relationships with all the ladies in the cast benefited,&#; Tom told Variety. &#;Here I was essentially playing the gay top friend, so it created this relaxed environment where we were all having fun.&#;

He added that he changed his view of Chloe throughout filming as well.

Tom Hollander portrayed the gay character Quentin in the second season &#;The Ivory Lotus&#;, and he recently addressed his sexuality.

Aside from the hit HBO series, the year-old British actor is playing another gay role in Ryan Murphy&#;s upcoming TV exhibit &#;Feud: Capote vs. The Swans&#;, where he is starring as American novelist and screenwriter Truman Capote.

Not to mention, he also portrayed other real-life gay men, including British diplomat Guy Burgess, as well as Oscar Wilde&#;s lover Bosie Douglas. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Hollander talked about his experience portraying gay characters, stating:

&#;I have been asked to engage several gay characters over the years […] People retain asking me to do it because apparently when I play these characters, it’s believable. And that’s, in a way, where my job begins and ends.&#;
