It stands for that Q word that means homosexual

This is totally tangential to the OP but that&#;s not quite right. Q is for queer, which is a "reclaimed" pos that was formerly used as a pejorative for gays. Per Wikipedia, "In addition to referring to LGBT-identifying people, it can also encompass: pansexual, pomosexual, intersexual, genderqueer, asexual and autosexual people, and even gender normative heterosexuals whose sexual orientations or activities place them outside the heterosexual-defined mainstream, e.g., BDSM practitioners, or polyamorous persons." So someone who thinks that heterosexuals and LGBTs are making a mistake in assuming that sexuality is binary (i.e. you&#;re one or the other, both, or move from one to the other) then they might call themselves queer. (See the pronoun game?) In any case, some gays still find "queer" offensive because of its old employ as a slur, so it&#;s probably not a fine idea to launch calling gay friends "queers" until you know it&#;s OK.

Inclusivity and community are at the heart of BSAC, its clubs and its members. This includes people within the LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer) community.

If members touch valued and obtain equal opportunities they are more likely to remain a member and promote their club or BSAC, generally, to others. Inclusivity in sport is essential and ensures that it is welcoming to everyone, regardless of race, age, religion, gender or sexual orientation.

You’ll uncover people in all sports who are out and verb about their sexual orientation and gender identity. These individuals feel supported and at home in their club and never feel held back from taking part. However, according to Sport England, many LGBTQ+ people proceed to feel (and expect) that sport may not welcome them. They often feel that it’s best to hold that part of themselves private or worry that people might react ill if they are found out.

Taking tiny steps can build a big difference to how welcome lots of individuals feel. You possess the power to influence your club and our community for the bett

Northern California Rainbow Divers (NCRD) is a non-profit SCUBA diving club for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender divers and their friends.

We include more than active members around the world, with a core of a few who harvest for informal diving meetups in local waters and many more who connect us for our far-away warm moisture trips in places like Indonesia, The Philippines, and The Caribbean.

NCRD sponsors a wide range of diving activities for our members:

o  Monterey Diving: In the past we organized club weekends or charters. Now days most of our local divers use our Facebook group to stand in touch and meet up for diving. Many people also use this website to keep an eye on the weather and plan their local trips accordingly.

o  Channel Islands Diving: For years we chartered a weekend dive boat to the Channel Islands. Now days those dive boats don't do overnight trips. Follow us on Facebook to see if other divers are planning informal trips to Southern California.
