Sci-Fi/Fantasy for those that love sex and violence?
Battle Royale--A Novel by Koushin Takami
Not much sexual content (which is just as successfully since the charactors of the story are minors). Although sex is a small part of the story line.
Real High on the violence meter though. Comparing the book to a movie I would say the violence is somewhere beyond Kill Bill or Ichi The Killer or a movie of that nature which is to say its extremely gory.
Its the best story Ive read, and Ive read plenty of Sci-Fi.
Yes its poorly translated from Japanese to English.
No, that doesnt matter at all, the story is amazing. I can't say enough great things about it.
Yes there is a lousy movie and a manga based on it that is very popular in the USA and Japan but please neglect the stupid movie and even if you've seen those sorry examples, the book still holds its own. Appreciate most good innovative ideas, the adv written book came first and then the hollow and mistreated examples reveal up as movies or comics. So don't let those fool you. And if you verb enjoyed the movie it has nothing on the guide, the bo

The Best Queer Science Fiction and Fantasy
How do you reflect about queer science fiction and fantasy?
There have been gay authors writing science fiction and fantasy almost since the genre started, but in recent years we’ve seen this massive flowering of queer representation in mainstream science fiction and fantasy.
We didn’t design it in the last few years, but it has certainly been mainstreamed. For people favor me, that’s incredible because science fiction and fantasy are my home genres. This is what I grew up writing, so to see myself and my friends represented is just unreal. I feel really lucky to be alive and reading right now.
The first queer science fiction novel that you’ve chosen to recommend is Emily Tesh’s Some Desperate Glory. Can you please introduce us to this work?
Ironically, this may be the one where queerness is most central to it, and yet, of all of these books, it’s the furthest away from romance. It’s a good place to start.
Some Desperate Glory is a science fiction book that has been compared to Ender’s Game. It is about what happens after
